Alright guys. So I had a pretty much stock integra ls, 97. I tinted the windows and put rims on it. It was my baby. And I was driving home like 2 minutes from my house on this small turn and it just stopped raining like 5 minutes ago. The speed limit was 30 and I was going like 40 not thinking and I was going around a small turn, next thing I know I am hydroplaning (sp?) and I knick the side of the road and then I end up in a lady's yard smashing through her fence. I tried to countersteer and nothing worked. The car just kept slipping. I managed to just miss 2 trees and go in between them. I am fine, a few bruises here and there, (had my seatbelt on), however my baby is totalled. The insurance company and garage told me my car was totalled. I had a bunch of friends look at it and they say its just minor stuff, quarter panel, the rear tie-arm and thats it. I went through backwards so my air-bag didn't even go off. my engine didnt suffer a scratch. My tires are a little bent and the body is just a bit banged up on one side. So what do I do? Does anyone know if I will be able to get the car back as well as the insurance money? Also, all my wires are cut becuase the fire dep was worried that my bag may deploy, so they thought it was neccesary for them to cut the wires to my battery. The garage said that none of that was neccessary at all, considering the front wasnt hit. Well, I am just wondering if any of you have advice or knowledge about these kinds of things. This is my first accident and hopefully my last. Later

I think if they total it then they keep it, ive heard you can buy it back for cheap though, and say its for parts. but what do you mean about the cut wires, just the battery cables? or liek the entire harness? or...?

they cut pretty much all the wires... they are idiots... I am studying electronics, and I know all you gotta do is unplug the negative terminal from the battery first. And then you can do the positive, and you're all set. But I mean the only thing that happened to the front of the car was a small cut on my front bumper. Thanks man and I will look into it.
