Worn out brake pads

I think it is time to change my brake pads on my 1996 Z71 Silverado but I was wondering if it is a job I can do myself or am I better off taking it to some place like Midas or something? Anyone have any suggestions or good websites that describe the whole process in detail?

Thanks....
Ryan

Nothing to it! If you have ever done any disc brakes, this is the same. I use a C-clamp to press the piston back in. A good set of pads will run about $60. :iceslolan

I use Raybestos. You should be able to get them from any good auto parts store. Also the AC/Delco brand is good. You can get them from the dealer or auto parts store. You should pack your wheel bearings while you are in there.
