tach into a 1993?

somebody told me I can connect my tach to the white plug behind the cluster but didn"t tell me with what wire. My corolla doesn't have a factory tach this is an aftermarket one.than you for your help.

Not sure about the cluster connection to tach but for direct accurate results - you can connect the tach wire is to test lead on the distributor cap. You have to run the wire through the firewall though.
