Subject: audio wiring diagram needed!!!

Have a 1995 mitsubishi galant se. I took out the head unit and none of the wires match up with the harness to my cd player. I dont wanna go out and spend 16 bucks on a installation harness so can someone help me with a wiring diagram, or some vurble help?

Check with the reference desk at your local library. Mine has a whole bookcase worth of nothing but wiring diagram manuals.

OR spend an afternoon with a current tester & find them yourself; there arent many & a bit of patience should get you through. There should be [going by my 1990]

-A Live [RED on my car]
-A Neutral/negative [BLACK on my car]
-A Switched live [turns it on & off with the 'accesory' position] [YELLOW on mine]
-A remote feed [for the electric aerial, if fitted][BLUE on mine]

the speaker wires should be easy to spot - they usually come in pairs of very similarly-patterned colours !

Why the hell why would you hack up the wiring in your car just for $16 (or less at Walmart)? Nothing I hate more than when some punk hacks up the wiring in their car and wants me to only charge the basic install charge for me to fix the mess. Or worse yet, end up blaming me for any problems they have caused. :loser:

I would also agree with the above, BUT I would not like to see him fry a G for the sake of his incompetence either !
