4x4 96 Blazer

I have a 1996 Blazer. The light for the 2hi never comes on, so I figured it is just burnt out. But the problem is, that when I put it into 4Hi, it wont go right back into 2Hi. I either takes like 5 miles of driving or going in reverse. Does anyone know what the problem/fix is?

I have the same problem with my 96 blazer... exact same problem. Have you figured it out yet?
