no spark

a couple weaks ago i changed the head gasket on my 91 talon tsi awd. before i changed it the car ran but ran poorly do to the blown head gasket. Now after changing it the car does not make spark. I've changed the coil pack, the distributor, the spark plug wires, and just about everything else in the electrical system. I dont want to throw anymore useless parts into it. can someone tell me what might be wrong before i go insane. :banghead:

I hate to say this,but i will, I had the same problem after an engine swap on my 90 Talon, check to see if you have what I call the cam sensor/distributor, plugged into the correct plug, it will plug into another harness plug with the same color, that was my problem, chased it for about 2 hrs....ok everybody laugh now !! :rolleyes:
