i really need to get this model, those rims look pretty sick on it

I would suggest you use the stock exhaust with different tips. That single exhaust is waaay too big for this car. Wheels fit it perfectly.

That'll look nice! You could consider, too, having the interior black/blue instead of black/red. Unless you want it to look like a racer. Are you going to put 3 point seats in it? :thumbsup:

Painted windows ( messed up, and blacked out the passenger and driver window.. bt it looks cool)

Looks pretty good so far, to bad about the windows, but i like the new muffler much much better, what did you do to get the blue color on the tip? is that paint or what?

the tipp is like a mix a red and metallic blue painted on carefully ...

the windows actully look sweet

ya tamiya gave window masks for the winshield, side windows, and rear windwo and i totally forgot bout the other two so mistakenly just painted both.. haha.. turned out for the best

do you guys want more pictures or shoud i just wait till i paint the body and finish?

the wheels will look great as they are against that pearl. Also a Smoke grey effect would give it a less genteal look. :evillol:

why don't you shave off the other side of the exhaust:eek7: it'll look smoother. i do like it though looks good, nice tints on the windows too!:iceslolan

no scratchbuilding yet, but im planning on making front splitters with springs

little more updates.. everything else is done pretty muc... just need to paint, but can't cause its humid and cold outside right now..

anyhow, regarding the project


It hsould be painted by this wkend with boyds enamel.. im just wondering if i coulds spray Tamiya clear coat ofver that enamel??

lookin good lookin good, by the looks of it, im guessing you airbrush? your paintwork is quite neatly done, no brushmarks that I can see, (i think im the only one around that still drybrushes everything except the body, chassis, hood etc... I just bought a nice compressor so now im saving for an airbrush) anyways, to answer your question, I do belive you will be able to use tamiya clear coat on boyds paint, im pretty sure that tamiya clear is pretty neutral to what you use it on, just make sure you paint has fully cured and set, dont hold me to my word, because im not completely positive, but i do belive you can, i have used only tamiya clear coat on all my models, and i have used several different types of paint, (ie. Testors, Tamiya,and several automotive paints)

painted boyds today and fd it up... my airbrush did a few spits for some reason...., i put on 2 coats, and i will sand back till its good, and try again... i have plenty of paint left, so won't quit till its nice and smooth!
