Wassup yo!!!
It’s been a while since I’ve been around these parts. I just wanted to stop by and update everyone of what has happened, and what is about to happen.

My website is temporarily down, but that’ll change in a little bit (continue reading for more info)
My portfolio is (currently and over the last month and a half) the #1 rated portfolio on CarDesignNews.com of over 280 portfolios, including 100 professionals and 50 students.(instructions to portfolio below)
My website is going to be back up in a few days.
A new supercar is coming out in a few days.

To get to my cardesignnews.com portfolio…

Go to http://www.cardesignnews.com/portfolios/
Under "Browse by Category" select "All Portfolios" and click [colog=green]Go[/color]
Under "Order by" select "Top Rated" and click "Go"
Click "Jonathan Griffin" (which should be at the top)

The new supercar will be called the Enigma, and will be…..you’ll just have to wait to find out. I’m working on a super-realism thing which will make the renderings much better than they have been in the past.

My next project will either be a “Sports-Van” concept, or a Off-Road SUV Monster.

New name…..

I need help picking a new name….

So for the new stuff… First, I’m planning on changing the name of my automotive company to something more unique. Right now there are two options…

Gryphon Automotive
AeroSpyder Automotive

Gryphon is an alternate spelling for Griffin, which is a eagle-lion creature. If I went with this name, for a logo I would probably use a semi-young & fierce looking mixture between a hawk and a tiger (or some other feline). This logo would help distance Gryphon from the archaic connotations. Griffin is my last name, so this would work (kind of like 90% of supercar companies are last names like McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc…) The main downfall of this one would be the potential of sounding old, stuffy, or generic.

Aerospyder is something else I thought up as an alternative. Aero for aerodynamic, and Spyder which is occasionally used to describe convertibles. One problem with this is it has a slightly generic sound. It also doesn’t work too well in front of the names of cars…Aerospyder Panther, Aerospyder Assauly, Aerospyder Inferno.

Depending on what I choose, my domain name will be…
www.aerospyder.com (which I might also get www.aerospyder.com soon)
www.gryphonauto.com (Which I might also get www.gryphonautos.com and www.gryphonautomotive.com sometime soon)

Thanks :) I love my fans!!

..and also want to hear opinions for the new name!!! The reason I'm changing names is I want (1) an easy-to-get-to site, (2) a unique name which no auto-related people are using, and (3) to avoid potentail future legal trouble.

i think that would best be decided on how the car looks.

Read my first post. I'm trying to rename my company. The car is goign to be called the Enigma, which is similar to Mystery.

Yeah I'm not looking for a fight or nothing here. It's okay to show your work, etc. I just feel differently towards it than others do. Some of the 'bullits' you have in your reply are fuel for a fire too. I don't think I insulted you so I don't see why you need to try to insult me ;) Have fun, play safe, don't run with scissors ;)

Sorry, I didn't intend to insult you. It's probably my writing style that made it seem that way.

The bullets were there to make my writing structured. I'll try to keep in mind that the bullets tend to be insulting when replying directly. We both forget this and move on. You're a good guy I'm sure, and I hate spam too!!! :)

Due to imput from various places, I've decided to just go with Gryphon Automotive as the company name, and the site will www.GryphonAuto.com. It'll be up in a few days, and I'll create a new thread when it is ready.

AIM ScreenName=GryphonAuto
