hello af modellers, i have a question about clear coating: when building a model car, do you clear coat every part (gloss clear for metallics and gloss paints, and flat clear for flat paints)? or do you just clear coat the body?
thanks

I just clear the body. Thats all you really have to do. You could do other things like the interior and stuff, but I just don't see the point in it.

Dont clear the interior, the interior is supposed to be flat colors, so clearcoating the interior would make it too glossy.

Unless you cover it with flat clear coat. I sometimes, for one reason or another, paint interiors with glossy paint and have to clearcoat them with flat or semigloss clear to make look good. But only if I need to.

Its called dullcote from Testors, works real good. It gives your interior a satin look.

"It" is called flat clear paint. Testors call it dullcote, other manufacturers call it other names or assign numbers.
