Hello,
I jut got my license plates today, but the holes in the front bumper for them are differently spaced and wont fit the plates. The rear bumper is fine. I've heard there is a front bracket and support for the license plate. Is there any way I can get my hands on one? Are there any alternatives? Thanks.

I'll see if I can find mine (we don't need a front plate in MI). If I can find it, its yours for the cost of shipping.

You have my deepest gratitude if you indeed find them. Otherwise, I'd probably have to tape the sucker to the windshiepd :loser: .

hey just leave it off, put it on your passenger seat and when the cop pulls u over then put it in the window on your dashboard!! the law states as long is it is clearly visible yur ok. Thats how I do it and we r in tx my baby and I u have tohave front license plates however it seems more and more cars dont have it yet the cops are very passive about it, Ihave been pulled over and did not say anything.

I guess I might leave it in the windshield, as I live in Plano, Texas. Are there any easy methods of attaching it to the windshield short of taping it on? However, I think I should have a bracket to put on just in case the police start to pester me. Yogsvr4, please email me at blackmage46@hotmail.com if you come across the bracket. I have a 97 SL by the way. Thanks again.

what i did to mine was cut the top almost all the way off. Drilled 2 new holes, then folded the bottom right under the numbers.
Next I put the plate on upside down with the new holes and folded it down so the only part of the front plate you can see is the numbers.
Not exactly leagal, but its on there and readable. And it has a euro look.

Yogsvr4 have you found the bracket yet? I took the car down to a dealer at it wants $150 just to put a new bracket on (they say they have to drill holes). Please, your bracket would help me out so much. I would gladly pay the price of shipping if you get your hands on it. Thank you again.

I haven’t come across it yet. I might have taken it to storage. I’ll head and rifle through some of the boxes.

Yogsvr4, I hope I'm not being pesky or anything, but my temp tag will expire in about two weeks and I need to have both license plates on by then. I also learned that putting the plate on the windshield is not legal, so my options will either be your bracket, I hope, or the expensive bracket at the dealer. Again, I hope I'm not being a pain but I'm beginning to become desperate over this mess. Thanks again for the effort.
