Infiniti Stereo Code Lock Problem

I installed an Infiniti stereo from a 98 Eclipse in to my 93 Eclipse. I have the unlock code that I got from the Mitsubishi dealer by telling him the serial number of the stereo. I entered the code and pushed the TAPE button. The stereo unlocked and seems to work fine.
Now, the problem is that when I turn off the ignition and leave the car for about an hour, the stereo is locked again when I start the car. It does not lock out if I turn off the car and then restart a short time later. What did I do wrong? Did I miss a step in entering the code? Did I mess up on the wiring?
Oh yeah, after I unlock the stereo, all of my presets and the time are still OK, they do not get cleared so I think the power is correctly connected.

I am having the same problem. However, my presets and time do reset when the car is left off for and hour or so. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Not loosing the clock and presets can mean you still lost power for a while. IIRC with my stocker it saved all presets also. But the code was active after a short time. Make sure you have your wires hooked up correctly.
