I almost got the civic running again, waiting on my engine harness then I am stylin. :evillol: Man, been waiting months for this, all I need is a new intake, a new exhaust and the Zex kit and I am there man.
Of course there is rims and suspension mods as well, and I do need a new WW kit, but at least I'll be able to DRIVE MY CAR once again. :iceslolan

we are in the same boat, except I never got to drive mines on the road/highway. I am waiting on my Slow mechanic to get my valve cover back to me (he cleaned it)and then I am hitting the road. It will still be slow, but hey we ridin'!!

Nope, your over there in the slow bannana boat... I'll be whizing past in a speed boat.
I have no intention of being slow. The way I built this motor, it will iether explode or run bad to the bone (12:5.1 Compression ratio)

That's some crazy compression. Let us know how it runs, and how long it lasts!! Did you build up your bottom end pretty good? Sound like you must have...

Oh please believe I will be fast soon. Just waiting on some money (from a settlement) to come in. It has been taking like forever. I fixed my blown head so that if I see it actually running, it will motivate me to do more with it. It will motivate me to get money!!

Custom Eagle Rods 94mm stroke,
micro polished and balanced crankshaft,
CM 8Lb flywheel,
ACT Heavy duty clutch,
Web race camshafts,
Custom made SS valves Springs and retainers by crower,
Micro polished rocker arms,
Milled Block 0.030,
O-Ringed Block,
Clearanced block for bigger rods,
Decked and surfaced block,
Of course it was bored and honed for the larger rings
Slight P&P job (Mostly Port Cleanup),
Valve seat job,
Head milled 0.050 was also decked and surfaced,
Imported JUN adjustable cam gears and Power timing belt from Japan,
Honed out intake manifold runner and throttle bodie,
Dc headers,
RC 270cc Injectors,
ApexI S-AFC,
ARP Head studs,
Cometic Head gasket,
Getto 3" home made pvc intake that will soon be replaced by a custom fiberglass intake (Made be me :)
All new OEM parts (Except the oil pump... I dont know why people always trip on the oil pumps when swaping, its a fucking oil pump man... You know a mechanical pump douced in oil usualy doesent have problems? Imagine that!)

I also planing on building a header and exhaust manifold out of stainless steal when I get the $, that shits expensive ya know! I am considering building an intake manifold as well.
Anyway, enough of the yikity yack... How bout I throw you some pics eh?! Look in the next post.

Do you mean 12.5:1 compression or 12:5.1? I've never seen compression shown with anything other then a 1 on the right side

most of the time people trip on the oil pump because VTEC runs on oil pressure, and as we all know, the oil pump makes pressure. if theres not enough pressure, VTEC wont even turn on. even if you trick the VTEC pressure sensor, and force it into VTEC, then it still wont get enough pressure for VTEC to even kick in hard enough. besides, who wants to have a brand new motor with a 100,000 mile oil pump in it? even things doused in oil break eventually.

Why so much money in a ZC? Just so you can say you can beat on stock B16s who spent a 1/4 of what you did?

Looks like a nice build, but I really have no idea why you wouldn't have put that money into a better motor?! :screwy:

And you never will.
But I will try and explain it to you, why would you put a 700 Cubic inch motor into a 64 impalla? Its not going to be all that fast no matter what you do to it... But its just cool as hell. :evillol:

a 700 cubic inch motor is also impressive due to the sheer size of the thing. as a direct comparison, it would be on the level of putting hondas biggest engine in a civic. putting a ZC in a civic is like putting a 305 in a v6 camaro. sure its better than what was in it, but its not the best thing that fits in there.

i am not an idiot, and i do get the point. you are doing it for the same reason that most import drivers mod their cars, because its a challenge. you dont wanna do the norm, so you go with a certain motor. in the early 90s, everyone clowned on 4 cylinder drivers, so they felt a challenge and made power out of them. now its so popular that even within import crowds, people are trying to be even more different. so they use motors that most people pass up or throw out. i understand your reason completely. but what im saying is, you can compare it the way you did.

my comparison was a lot better.
civic=camaro
d15=stock GM v6
ZC=305
Bseries=350

its a better comparison for many reasons. 350s have a lot of parts available, just as bseries do. 305s are capable, but they dont have as much performance overall, and get overlooked. and we all know how great the dual point injection system is, and they put that on the d15 as well as on the v6 and 305 in GM vehicles. cross fire my ass......

Somewere in the $5000 range including the engine.
I am using my old Si transmition.
Also considering a small efficiant turbo (6PSI MAX) to go on top of my 12.0:1 cr... Not sure about that yet thoe.

Without the turbo I am looking at about mid to low 13's to high 12's... 180-200 whp estimate.

:rolleyes: Dude, we don't exactly see eye to eye. You sent me a private message e-thugging me and being a dink in general to everyone in your stay. Is it hard to understand why I want all the shit talk to be over? Sure, nice build. I can NOT believe that you spent $5gs on building a ZC, but whatever. I just want to see the real numbers for how good a built ZC really is. See how long a 170whp ZC can last in a car, and how fast it will pull you in the 1320.

Its as negative as you take it as. I just said what I said, in an earlier post you flip on a person making personal attacks on him for having a different opinon than you on something. I just said I can't wait to see real numbers. They never lie.
