They may be cruel methods to you but i've seen badder...like beat-up the chicken till all of its blood clots before roasting it.

man , chicken sounds good right now. I watched it and although it is pretty sick , thats what animals are for. Nothing goes in your mouth without a cost. Besides if we were all vegetarians we'd have to plow the whole damn earth to make enough vegetables to feed everyone.

and a good part of us would starve. Me i was raised a vegitrian and started eating meat at like 10 and have become healtier since that also for the people who think its wrong cause were abuseing nature think about this look at the tribes that live in huts they live off nature and if they abused it theyd die and what not all them eat meat we have our eyes in the front for a reason.

I know, but I was speaking in general terms. When you hunt deer and the like, you have to skin, clean, and process the meat. If you've ever seen it done its not the prettiest site, but hey thats what God put the animals on the planet for; for us to eat them. Its just theres now a systematic way of doing it. And those chickens and cows that are slaughtered are raised on farms to do this. And like BigJustin said, if everyone was a vegetarian we would deplete the world of all its soil and minerals and we couldn't grow veggies anymore. Anyways, just got done eating my 3 Bacon Cheese Burgers from Wendy's and they were damn good! That was one finely grown cow. :lol2:

in that case, it's not mis-treating the animals. those animals are brought up to be eaten. that's the plain fact of it.

now if it were a cute little puppy or something like that being mis-treated, then i'd get sad and offended and what-not. people who do that don't deserve to breathe.

How come when this happens to cute little animals, everyone goes crazy, and is really sympathetic, but when it happens to cattle, and chicken, no-one seems to care?

People these days are wimps. I remember going to Mexico, we ate goat. Some people refused to eat the goat, because they were so sicked out by them killing and skinning the goat.

O.K. so it's cruel, after all I wouldn't want somebody to cut my throat, then drain my blood into a pot, then hang my body up, skin it, cut it into little chunks and then serve it with rice - but you've got to eat something with that rice.

because cattle and chicken taste pretty damned good! imho, man didn't crawl his way to the top of the food chain to start eating like a rabbit...i mean come on it doesn't bother me...hell i have eaten veggie stuff too, but animals kill other animals for food...so what if we raise them for food? it's to supply the ever growing population that brings on a constant demand for food..but dogs and cats on the other hand..they serve as human companions...you don't see best man's friend getting slaughtered because of that fact....dogs and cats are like members of the family...if they're designated pets, then that's one thing, but if they're raised to FILL MY GUT, then WHO CARES!? it's not that cruel to kill an animal to put food on the table to feed your family...hell if we didn't kill off the animals, then there would be overgrazing, and that would kill off environments...you're talking fields..gone....vegetation...gone......we have deer hunting seasons out here because if we don't then they wander the highways at night and kill drivers coming home after a long days work...now you can't tell me that it's cruel because we want to make night driving a little bit safer while as well getting some good venison can you? that's why...in my opinion PETA likes to force their views upon people such as when Macy's Department store in Boston was having a coat sale, and members of PETA went wearing these fur coats drenched in red paint and began to vandalize the store by smearing red paint all over the storefront, inside the store, and on the sidewalk they were rolling along the ground like idiots.....hell if i come across a PETA rally, i'll walk in with my Big Bacon Classic from Wendys and my 10 Piece bucket of chicken from KFC and a big old Double Gulp just to piss them off..hell even throw meatballs at them just because i feel like it..... it's cool for someone to voice out their opinion, hell that's what makes it such a free country.... but don't force it on me....I EAT DEAD ANIMALS AND I'M PROUD!!!! :2cents:

those animals are raised for the sole purpose of BEING FOOD in the future. if you can't come to terms with that, then cry me a river, build me a bridge, and get the hell over it.

hell I dont car how cute an animal is , cook it up right and I'll eat it. If a dog or cat could eat you do you think it wouldnt on account of were cute ? I dont think so. Hell I think my guinea pig is plotting to escape and gnaw at me while I sleep !!!

There is quite a difference between people getting upset at the killing of a pet while not getting upset over the death of harvest animals. The pet has emotional value by being alive. Somebody cares about the animal and we can sypathize with them when their pet dies.

Slaughtering animals for food is a normal and efficient process.
