I am starting to redo my interior and I do not know were to start, because I'm only 15 and I am kind of poor. I want to do the inside all in black. I dont konw how I can change the colors of the dash and the door panals and stuff like that, I am getting new carpot in my car which of couses is going to be black. I was wondering if there were some kind of catologs that had stuff like that or a website or something like that, all the information I could get would be great thanks.

Well, the possibilities are limitless provided you're a gazillionaire and know a good custom shop, but as far as realistic stuff goes, there are plenty of parts available for Escorts, especially now. It all depends what parts you want to focus on, and how you want the car to look and feel.
As far as the interior goes, you've got some choices. A top quality job would involve reupholstering the seats in black leather or vinyl, and covering all the hard parts (dash, console, etc) with matching black leather or vinyl. As far as I know, carpets and headliners would have to be replaced with custom made black ones, since I don't think you can alter the color of the originals, and Escorts never came with a black interior.
I have seen dash dyes before, but I'm not sure how or how well they work. You could always paint your dash, but painted parts usually end up looking tacky and crappy, and don't last real long. :(

Doing the interior is fine and dandy, however, before you start on the looks of the car, make sure that the mechanical parts warrent the work. Have your cooling system checked, use a top grade oil with regular changes ( I use Mobile 1 in my old 88 Escort and it still runs like a new one). If you have an automatic transmission, have it serviced first.
What I'm trying to say is "make sure that the car will hold togather for a while if you are going to put that amount of work and expense in it".
