We got an in-depth look at an '01 prius that my school owns. What an awesome car. Its not bad looking, VERY roomy for a small car (trust me here, I'm 335 lbs LOL), and the gas mileage well it speaks for itself. One thing cool is the regenerative braking, ever heard of stopping on a dime? YEAH! LOL Im thinking seriously of buying one

fil: This new prius makes 290 eMotor TQ and 87 gMotor (gas) torque resulting in a total 377 TQ! if needed under full throttle starts. It makes 87 emotor HP and 63 egas HP. My numbers maybe off a ticor two as I'm going on memory from the sales brochure. The old Prius was no slug but it did require planning as the e-gas pedal was not programmed to be a 1:1 relation to throttle input. The new Prius is and it drives just like a conventional car with an auto trans in that no planned dely for forward motion is required. The brakes too on the old Prius took some getting used to but the new Prius felt just like the standard brakes in a Camry. Fade is unlikely as the emotor working via universal joint both acts as a brake & power regenerator as well as a motor. Cool. The interior is aces including UltraSuede inserts on the seats & doors and a touch screen display to control everything electronic which is a lot

this is what my friend sent me
