ok last tuesday i was drilling out a bolt that i stripped off. i starte drilling and my bit fell into my engin and was stuck in one of the oil ports in my head. so i decided to take my head off.
everything came off ok i took the head in to get cleaned at a shop. go the head back on reninstalled everything tried to start it up. it doesnt start up so i call my uncle who used to be a mech at the H dealership. he came over and found out 2 things one i put the belt on wrong by two teeth 2nd he found out that the people at the machine shop messed with my intake valve so they were staying open all the time. so he adjusted those and the let the engine dry out and it started up but it was wayrough. so i jump in and drive it around the block and it had crappy power and every time i would try to hit the gas hard it would bakcfire and it wouldnt accelarate also everytime i let go of the gas it backfires a lil too. does any one knew why it would be doing this and what else i could be doing wrong ? :uhoh: :confused:

ok i also went out and checked the plugs to see if they were all firing and i pulled ou the 2 & 3 plugs and nothing seemed to happen. the when i pulled the 1 and 4 wires separately the engine started to bog down and it almost died out. then i put it back in but and pulled 2-3 out at the same time and nothing happend i dont believe its my cap and rotor because they were just replace 3 months ago and its not the wires because i pulled them and placed the a gainst a bolt and you could see the spark and its not the plugs because i switched those all around so if anybody else knows what this could be plz tell me. sorry for the long post but i was trying to give you all as much info about the problem to find the best situation.

Sounds like #2 & 3 are dead. Check the valve clearance, it would not be the first time a valve was tightened way beyond specs. Also listen to the injectors with a screwdriver or pull them out to see if there is gas coming through them. An inductive pickup timing light can be used to see if there is electricity flowing through the cables.
