H22 or B18C5?

I wanna go with an all motor car but not quite sure which engine will give me the most out of it going N/A. The H22 sounds good with 200hp and 161lbs/tq. The type-r also sounds good cranking out 197 but which one will benefit me better for road racing? Which one will I be able to accelerate out of a corner with better? My team of me and my two friends have 95 civic si hatchs, one of them has an H22 and the other a B18C5. They both are quick. And now it's my turn to drop in an engine, which should I go for? I'm kinda thinking towards H22 but I want other EXPERIENCED driver's opinions first. Please reply if you have driven a car with an H22 or B18C5!!! thanks

You can get into a H22 setup cheaper. If I had a 92+ Civic or 94+ Integra, I would do an H22 all the way. Sorry, no personal experience.

just go h23 vtec....put the h22a head on the h23block.

B18C5 - $5800
Being a 2.2 liter, the H22 has more low end torque for pulling out of tight little turns, but is heavy for a Civic's suspension resulting in understeer. The B18C5 has a higher redline with no bottom end, which makes it great for road races, but not fantastic in autocrossing around cones. Beef up your suspension up front and buy the H22 along with some mounts from www.hasport.com

Sounds like I'll be going with the H22. And I already have went ahead and beefed up my suspension to the max so it can handle any engine. The main component of my suspension is the TEIN SS coilovers for integra application cuz the spring rates are stiffer than the ones for a civic..... Handling capabilities are my first priority Ricochet! thanx for all the feedback
