Serious Turbo Question

Ok I was Wondering if anyone knows a site or something where i can find out how a turbo realy works?? The reason is if I am to buy one i would like to know something about what i buy. Thus the more you know the more you can do. Also where can i find info on tuning and moding? Ive always worked on onlder v8's witch are simple compared to these computer 4bangers lol. I just wanna read up and learn all about the 2.0 turbo and what can be done to it and what i can get out of it. I only have the 1.8 right now witch is a good driving car but i want something that will run with the best, and have people say holy Shyt that was a 4cyl lol thanx alot all one day soon i will have a fast dsm like the rest :) Thanx for your time and help
