Anyone heard this? people ghetto rigging co2 to shoot into the intake so it cools the air down?sounds like it would work but :wtf:

There is a guy at the track I goto that shoots nitrous into his inner cooler..thats the only purpose for his NOS!

CO2 would kill your performance. It would reduce your air/fuel ratio and of course the CO2 doesn't burn. There would be no reason for that. Maybe if you could rig it to cool the pipe of your intake or something. I have heard of people spraying their Intercoolers before, but not INTO their intake. That's whack.

yea I had a homeboy that sprays nox into his intercooler. It works pretty good. Cools down the air pretty damn good :D

rig the co2 to spray the intake mani....less chances of it warming up as it goes through like if you were to spray the intake piping

You could always re-locate your windshield washers to the front of the car and aim them at the intercooler, or at the radiator...

CO2 would be worthless what you gain on cooling down the air you loose by messing with the air fuel mixture. spraying Liquid O2 would work.

I plan on running a Intercooler Cooler but using CO2 not NO2 with a purge valve just to mess with people's heads!

So...if you are gonna spray NOS into an intercooler to cool down the intake charge, why not just spray the NOS into the intake manifold. I cannot understand how using NOS to cool down atmospheric pressured air can be more efficient than going straight to the bottle in the intake charge :uhoh: :screwy:

'Hmmm...I have NOS, should I efficiently cool down an intercooler and lose energy to cool down other air, or spray that shit directly and get 75HP, instead of cooling down the intake charge another 10 degs, and get 10HP?' :wtf:

If I am totally off base, someone please explain the benefit of cooling off the intercooler with NOS. Water would seem sufficient..I like Mike's idea with the windshield squirters!!

Isn't the nitrous shit you spray in the intercooler different from real NO2? I think it is... I thought it was called Ntercooler or something, its a totally different kind of kit, just for cooling?

no it's the same stuff just a different name for the kit. and i could see why people would do that with non-built turbo motors. cause then they could just run 8 psi and then cool the charge then get a lil more hp. cause everyone know you can't run a 75shot and 8-9 psi on a non built honda motor.

i got to agree, I bought that new amplified Zex filter for my Zex dry kit and it doesnt work like they say, try to keep the NOS spray as close to the intake manifold as possible.

sure that sounds like a great idea but its totally illegal to use at a track since it will leak fluid onto the track.

Just use co2 to spray the intake piping or something.

yeah im building a co2 colling system that bolts onto a carburated v8 it will drop the intake and airfuel temp alot and it is not injected into the motor i will be posting the testing of my prototype on youtube

Forget messign with your air fuel ratio..the damn engine would just stop dead..it doesnt take much co2 at all to kill the engine temporarily.

indeed it is an old thread. but what i belive they are talking about is the cry02 system that couples into your intake tubing. it has a ball in the middle of the piece that you put in that has the c02 running through it to drop your intake tempature so no c02 is actually running into your engine, air just passes over it cooling the air. they also have systems like that for your intercooler if your one of those fancy turbo guys or gals. sorry for posting on something so old
