I just traded in an Astro for a 02 S-Blazer Extreme. My Astro had the overhead console with trip computer/compass/temp unit. I've seen the instructions on how to wire a console with the temp/compass, but can one with the trip computer be wired in?
I LOVED the computer in the Astro. Always kept track of my average MPG and would love to do the same with the new Blazer.
Any hope???
Thanks,
Tom

Yes, you just need to tie it into the serial data on the ALDL or directly at the PCM...

this may be a dumb question. what is the ALDL and where is it?
also, i have an overhead sonsole from a 98 blazer. there are 8 wires connected to the trip comp. and 5 connected to the other harness ( for the lighting)...... is that correct?
i'm not sure for some reason 9 and 6 keep popping into my head .
thanks
