Last week I saw McLaren F1 GT brochure for sale on Ebay. I wanted to buy it, but I was outbid in last minute. Now I need to find another. So I want to ask you guys if you know about somebody who owns one. I want to pay for it up to 300 GBP. If that is not enough, maby more. I can 100% guarantee you that when I will have it, I will scan pictures from it for you. And if you help me with finding it, I will post pictures of, which I have from Ebay seller. One is high-res picture of F1 GT interior. Please, help me.
I also want to ask if somebody have more pictures of 019R in prototype colours, when McLaren test it. Thanks.

I knew the seller of the one on Ebay. We had exchanged emails about the brochure approximately 6 months before he chose to sell it. I found a post he had made on a different forum looking for info on what it might be worth and contacted him.
Unfortunately, I have never seen or heard of another copy. Prior to finding him about 6-8mos ago I didn't even know there was an official F1 GT brochure put out by the factory. You will probably have a very difficult time tracking another one down. I wish you luck! Maybe you could try contacting the person who won the Ebay auction to see if they might be interested in turning a quick profit. You could also try contacting the seller to see if they would at least pass along your contact info.
I have the all the photos he took of the GT brochure, so if you don't get around to posting them, I could probably share them.

Now, when you say "more pictures of 19R in prototype colours", which photos do you have so far?
There are really only two photos that I have seen of the car with the pink and yellow flourescent squiggles. One is a small grainy side shot of the car moving on a track, and the other is a medium sized front 3/4 view which can be found on the McLaren website. To my knowledge, there aren't any others. There are a few more pictures of the car in solid black without the squiggles, but that's all I know of. Again, none of the photos are all that great. There are two small thumbnails of the car sans squiggles in "Driving Ambition" on pg 244, but they are nothing to get excited over.

I have this picture and picture from McLaren Cars webpage. I have just three images from seller of F1 GT brochure. So you can post some images. Also post another images of 19R.

Driving Ambition talks a little about the F1 GT in their chapter. To homologate the car at the time (late 1996 I believe) they had to have a dealer network, sales brochures, and parts availability. Of course all of that changed when Porsche and M-B introduced their purpose-built cars. Those requirments were no longer needed.

Peloton,
Just for the record, how many F1 GTs were made? Including the prototype. Is three correct?
Anyone,
Also, there are quite a few F1 roadcars out there with LM/GTR-style bodywork. But no one has yet added GT Longtail bodywork to their street F1. Is that a sign that the GT is the "ugliest" F1?

Yes, just 3 F1 GTs - the Green prototype, and a burgundy and a black customer car. Apparently the two customer GTs went to people who already had a standard F1 road car and an LM. We know the burgundy one is in a Japanese collection. I have no clue where the black GT ended up.
I'm not sure that a GT could be created from an F1 road car without starting from scratch in some respects. I'm not the one to really answer that. There is also the possibility of promised exclusivity from McLaren Cars to those two owners that they wouldn't build any others. I don't know that as fact, but it wouldn't surprise me.
I don't know if there is such a thing as an "ugly F1", but I agree that it's the body style I find to be least appealing.

yes, i will always hold the reg. f1 road car as my favourite and then the 95 gtrs and so on.. i'm really not keen on how the gt looks from behind but it does look nice in some go the pics taken of it from the front, but on a whole i think it kind of ruined the whole purpose made road car made into a race car because it was specifically made to get the gtrs in the racing series
