Used 4Runner Help

I am considering replacing my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 with a 1997-98 4Runner. My main reason is for the reliability. The problem is that the 4Runners I have been looking at (in my price range) have 90k miles on them. Here are my questions.


1- Will a 4Runner be reliable for the next 3-4 years if I am getting it with 90k+ miles?


2- I love the Jeeps full-time 4 wheel drive. Does the Sr5 have a full time system or is it just the limited that has it?


3- While I ralize the V6 wont have the power of the V8..is it considered a powerful 6?


4- Finally, I have heard the stock sound system in the 4Runners is not very good. Is this true?

1-the 4runner will be reliable not just for the next 3-4 years but for 6-7 years. you Will be able to put over 200k miles on that SUV.
2-The sr5 does not have full time 4wd.
3- Im not sure if it is considered a powerful 6 but it is 3.4L and puts out 183 Hp. You can buy a trd supercharger which will add about 65 HP.
4- The stock system is fine. However if you like bass and play your music loud you should put a sub in it. the vocals are fine, the bass is pretty weak.
There are 3 4runners in my family and we have never had any problems at all. a 1998 and 2 2002's. you will not have the problems that you have most likely had with your jeep.
