Christmas Party?

Is anyone going to a Christmas party?

I was recently invited to a very formal Christmas party up in the hills, and I'm debating whether or not to go. There should be 80-100 people there, all with plenty of alcohol and food. Hmm...if I do go, I need to go shopping.

So, anyone else going out to celebrate the holidays?

I did that whole formal Christmas Party thing last year! I'm glad to have a party with all my friends in the apartment like old times for this year!!!

I'll probably get an invite from my job, but it's most likely to be dull (dinner, little conversation, hoping to get a little bonus from the boss and (if in the same restaurant last year) having to listen to the same 5 songs over and over and over...)

Okay, so how about this. You get dressed up, come out and we can go to this thing together. You can bring a dessert and I'll bring a gift for the exchange. That way, you'll be formally invited to something, and I'll have someone to have a decent conversation with when I'm surrounded by masses of strangers, most of whom will probably be sipping a bit too much alcohol. What do you say? :)

I say no to that. Unless I can tag along. http://forums.off-topic.net/images/smilies/beer.gif

But anyways. The christmas parties I have been invited to this year consist of one family party, and a party thrown by some friends from High School. I really dont think I will go to that second one, since I dislike all my old High School friends. I did however got to a somewhat formal company party. But they cannot call it a christmas party, because it is not politically correct. So Instead they have to call it a winter party.

I just hope that this years Christmas party is better than the last one. Last years one was so lame. The after party was so much better.

We’ve got a very informal work Christmas party organised for one of the days in the week before Christmas. Other than that, we won’t be in New Zealand for any other parties, we’ll be in Sydney!! :D :D :D

You're right, how rude of me. :)

Im not meaning to be rude here, but I notice that my above post has been edited. This is not a problem [i could care less about the post] except for I find this rude, even if you are a mod (which you are.) Please either PM me or AIM me or something, either before or after modifying the post so that I know what went on and why. I think that is only common courtesy .If you dont like the post, atleast explain why you changed it.

Again, I do not mean to be rude, but I think that this is only common courtesy. I used to frequent a board that modified posts without giving a reason, and that is why I left there.

Once this has been read, it can be deleted.

Thank You

Rich

Our company is not having one this year . This is like the third year in a row we have not had one and it is all due to cutbacks but I won't complain, I'm fortunate enough to be working period in these times. :)
