I don't think it'll make it to production with red lights on the front of the car...

Just To Let Everyone Know I Am A Huge Mustang Fan!!! But The New Model For 2005 Is Just Fuckin Ugly. Its Way Too Big Of A Leap In Body Style, And It Will Go Nowhere!

Isnt this the 2004 concept. And i did see some REAL PHOTOS. I think the design is amazing, its not too slick like the ugly 1993-03, reminds me of shellby but wider. I say it will be another amzing, expensive, supercar like Viper.

That is the exact same pic from motor trend, and someone obviously photoshopped it. I think the new 05 Mustang will be great, I for one actually can't wait for them to hit the showroom floors. If you actually do a search you will find a lot of concept pics and spy shots, right here in this forum. There were a few threads about this a few months ago.

the 2005 concept lists it's width at 74.7".

A 1967 Shelby comes in at a width of 70.9"

Anyway it looks like the price will be around $31,000 and up. And from most mags and articles, the real thing is gonna look alot like the silver fastback and red 'vert concepts that most have seen. Will probably wait till 2006 to get one (give the Blue Oval guys that 1st year to get the bugs out)!

if you're waiting to get the bugs out, how about giving the blue oval guys like seven years?

7 years? That's harsh dude. Have you had that much trouble with your '89 or what?

actually no, but i have little respect for ford outside of the mustang line. I do enjoy the f 250 and 350 series, but outside of that, i'm not a fan. little things kill me about ford - did you know that they are the only automoible manufacturer that does not gaurentee their safty belts for the life of the car, not to mention the numerouse cost cutting tenqunics that ended in consumer fatality.

But actually thanks for telling me, ill change the belts strait away.
How about you tell us some more about those "numerous cost cutting techniques"?

How about a 2005 Mach 1?

Probably won't happen until 2006....but we can only hope.

I hear what you are saying but it's all the same. I don't care if it's Nissan,Honda, Ford, Chevy whoever. I've worked on all types of cars to see that ever companies cars have flaws and places where the just plain cut corners to save some money$$$

But not everyone - Toyoda has constantly improved the quality of their vehicles while slowly reducing the manufacturing costs of their products. I realize their business model is impossible for a domestic manufacturer to replicate; but it is better to blow 25 dollars per car on a reliable fire wall, then to be sued for millions by relatives of the afflicted. I wonder how much the firestone recall ended up costing ford - on paper and with their marketing image. Clearly i can't pretend to know much about the industrial manufacture of the atomobile - but i do know that cutting costs are essential to any business; but costs must be cut intellegently - not to a limit of degrading quality.
