just starting out (98 )

I'm just starting out with a 98 Accord EX 4cly auto. I was talking to a good friend of mine that did an engine swap with a prelude h22 V6 and he really liked it. I want to go the power route before I do any looks cause its gonna take time and I'd rather have something under the hood than be flashy and not be able to back it up. Should I go for the engine/tranny swap and work from there? or just sell it and start try looking for a v6 manual to start out with. Either way, what should I look into first, turbo kits? intakes? any help at all would be awesome thanks.
