ugh sports cars like that should NOT be even made with an automatic option. :headshake :headshake

if you want to drive a sports car learn how to drive a stick

Hell, if it was given to me, I'd drive it

If I were to spend 20k plus for a skyline though, it'd better be a stick...

I agree, My Mustang is an auto and It sucks...

Any real sports car should only come with a stick. Even if you can do a conversion from an automatic for really cheap

It's not a GTR so who really cares, it's just a lowly GTS. Plus if your looking for straight line power auto's are better although nothing beats the fun of a manual especially on track.

i dont understand the whole "manuals are better" idea, it might shave off a half of a second off ur 1/4 mile times, and u decide when to shift, but an automatic viper is still gonna rip a new asshole into most cars.

Mine will when I'm done with it, and I'll not have paid close to half of what he did...

It's just so much more fun to bang the gears, not to mention a half of a second is a hell of a lot of time, especially when you're dropping et's...

Manuals are good for autoX and and other types of roadcourse racing, because you can get much better acceleration coming out of corners. If you're not too lazy to shift, they make driving a much more pleasurable experience.

*yawn* Who cares if its an auto? My lowly auto has beaten alot of standards, even some from rolls where the auto is at a disadvantage.

i have an auto (finally got my 'new' car today), and it can mow on stick 5.0's. actually in the old z's auto's are actually faster......

I agree. Manual transmissions give the driver much more control, but but autos arent a HUGE disadvantage. My SVX is auto (for now) and I still pull on most cars I meet up with at stoplights . But for anything besides straight line acceleration, I envy Manuals....

i dont understand the whole "manuals are better" idea,

It just comes from AMerican kids who have played Gran Turismo over the years and now think they are world reknowned experts on all things Skyline. The Skyline is a family car. Oooooooo, what? Nooooo, it can't be. Trying to tell kids back home about the Skyline is like :banghead: all day long. Sure, my R32 is a manual, but mine is the sport coupe.

Yeah I don't see the big deal either.

Do Corvettes, America's most popular sports car not come with an automatic? What about Camaros/Firebirds, Mustangs? Auto was standard on 350 V8 3rd gen F-bodies, no option for manual. Only cars that don't come with auto is the Viper, Z06, and the Cobra(is that right?).
