pos 2001 Corolla Headlight

I was removing the headlight housings from my corolla and unlike most cars that I'm used to, the headlight has 3 bolts holding it in. Two are on top as usual, but the third one is a bitch to get to. There is a plastic bar that runs to the side of the frame. The third bolt screws through the frame of the car into that bar. The only way I could get to that bolt was by removing the wheelwell cover. Is there an easier way to access that bolt?
