...but for what reasons praytell? Perhaps to flame my "modded" accord? I noticed you posted on the possible R-35 coming to the states with a possible 400-hp motor. Care to reason why you'd be genuinely interested in my little Automatic Honda Family Coupe? Why, because I said "too many mods to list?" Key thing, I didn't say "Heavily Modded", I said "too many mods to list" which genuinely means too many mods to list in my sig. Whether or not bolt-ons, rims, suspension, and a body kit to your are mods doesn't interest me. If you want to flame Honda owners, I suggest you go somewhere else, like http://www.shitonhonda.com. You'll be hardpressed to find people so similar to yourself in intelligence if these are your sincere intentions...

I figured you for saying your wishes sarcastically and really intending to rip in saying "You call that modified, a real modified car has an upgraded turbo, fuel injectors, stronger rods, an auto Honda Accord sucks, etc. etc.". You get my point. As for your MX-6, I know nothing about it and I wouldn't judge it crappy due to its age, as the same year RX-7 can easily be upgraded a little and absolutely kill other cars. So in anycase, I apologize for my assumptions.

:confused: Anyone running a lowered Accord w/ a body kit in the snow belt? I'm getting a body kit put on my ryde this spring and I just want to make sure I'm setting myself up for big problems when the snow hits again this coming winter.

Sup guys? Hey I just got a 01 Accord Coupe and wanted to see if any one has added fog lights to there car. The dealer wanted to charge me 500 some dollars for factory fogs so I was going to add some piaa's my self and wondered if they already had wiring ran. If any one knows then please post a reply.

First of all, let me just tell the entire forum that you've got another Accord owner on here (I'm on SHO also as spyder1).

I have the PIAA 1000X's on my 2001. I had them installed professionally because they are wired to my factory alarm system. I'm not sure if the stock wires are ran already. I do know that the switch isn't installed in the car. If you plan on getting aftermarket lights, I would run the wiring that comes with them. My PIAAs have a built in fuse for protection which I have placed near the battery.

Hey spyder one quick question for you man. How much did it cost you to get those installed? I was just wondering because if it isn't that much I will just get some one else to do it for me.

It cost me $375 installed for the PIAA 1000X series. Now this includes the wiring to my factory alarm system also. It's a bit steep since the fog lights themselves were $200, but it's still cheaper than the factory fog lights and I like the look better.

I have one more question for you spyder. Did you use the wiring kit that came with the piaa lights and if you did where did you mount the on off switch? If you would let me know it would be a great help because I am trying to decide weather to go piaa or not. If you have any suggestions just blert them out. Thanks

I used the wiring that came with the PIAA fog lights. My installer ran them so they are pretty well hidden. The switch is mounted in the exact same place where the stock fog light switch would be. I was thinking about getting it, but it costs about $35 and I didn't want to add that to the total cost. The PIAA switch is pretty nice and has a green(off)/red(on) indication.

Otherwise, I would just have them installed, wiring them to your existing alarm system (doesn't matter whether it's factory or not). They are definitely worth their price. Oh, one more thing... make sure you get the new model PIAAs. The last years model had a problem with the fuse housing causing the bulbs to continuously blow (my buddy had them and our installer changed the fuse housing for him). Hope this helps.

Which is exactly why I'm waiting for confirmed pics of the 2k3 model to determine whether or not I'm getting rid of my 2k1 Accord. Whatever I get, my next car will be a stick shift (preferably a 6-spd).

Well for starters, some red/clears for the back. Clear the fronts too. Hmmm, 18's could fit and you might want to drop it. Since you're not into speed, I won't go into exhaust and intakes and all that other good stuff. Nice car by the way.

Just got an immaculate 1997 honda accord special edition with 104,000 miles. Leather, Moonroof, alloys, auto windows/door locks/alarm, auto tranny. Just got a phat crease in my front left fender though :/

I still love my car though :)

Well, a little update...

My sweet coupe got totalled when it was rear ended about 6 months ago. Its replacement wasn't a disappointment tho... its a 99 accord sedan, leather, alloys etc like my last one, except its got ABS, new tires, windshield, front and read sway bars... stuff my other didn't have... and the insurance is actually cheaper.

Oh, and its a medium-dark blue. No more red cars (targets) for me :p

Yeah... it was actually a 3-car accident... a mercedez didn't see the civic stopped behind me and smacked into her and somehow caused her front end to lift just enough to jump my bumper... and go through my trunk... didn't bust my rear window though. The lady claimed she was going 30mph... but I'm not so sure it was that slow the way it caused the civics front end to lift...and the fact that the civic was about 15-20 feet behind me...

The accident injuredmy back and knees... but not too bad fortunately... still miss my coupe tho :/

3rd gen accord here. Love the hatch and pop up lights. Might be swaping b20 in the future.
