need help - clear coat is peeling!

HELP!!! SHORT OF REPAINTING, ANYBODY KNOW OF A QUICK FIX THAT WILL STOP THE CLEAR COAT FROM BUBBLING AND PEELING OFF MY CAR?
MY BRIGHT RED PAINT IS BEAUTIFUL AND I KEEP IT CLEAN AND WAXED BUT THE CLEAR COAT ON THE TRUNK IS PEELING BADLY AND I JUST SAW A BIG BUBBLE ON THE ROOF, SO, ANY IDEAS??? APPRECIATE ANY ADVICE!

I was afriad you'd say that I'd have to repaint...I drive a '93 Pontiac Sunbird. Too bad about the clear coat really because the paint under is in perfect condition - a bright shiny red. Oh well, thanks for the input!

You could try to use a fine sand paper like 1000 grit and lightly sand where the clear is peeling untill it stops flaking off. Then reclear. This might restore it without reapplying the base. If you need more hepl email me at [email protected]
