I Hate School!

I FUCKING HATE SCHOOL!!! I think a lot of the courses I have to take waste my fucking time. I'm a General Business major so I would like to concentrate on the business part, but nope, can't do that. I have to fill my brain with Finance and crap like that. If I wanted to know finance I would have majored in the shit. But I didn't for a reason.....BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO KNOW HOW TO CALCULATE INTEREST RATES!!!!! Thats why they have banks for people like me to go to, so they(the finance majors) can calculate the shit for me.
And I'm learning in Bus. Communications right now how when you write something it should be at a level slightly under the readers ability so they can understand it. Well aparently the people who wrote my Finance book didn't take me into consideration, b/c most of the shit they say and the format they say it goes right over my head. And then when I'm trying to do a problem they don't even show you CLEARLY how to do something or how to work a particular problem. It's bullshit I tell you complete and utter bullshit. I consider myself a smart person(not a brainiac by all means but smart) but I've just never been the solid A student. Generally, A, B and C's.
I'm not going to graduate with a good GPA but I know my personallity and people skills is whats going to get me a job. If a college degree wasn't so much life and death as it is today I would be out there working my ass off, being productive unlike going to school and feel like I'm wasting my time. Within the last year I've come on the border of dropping out about 2 to three times b/c I just cannot stand school. Once I do graduate I don't want or care to walk across the stage to get my diploma, b/c I just am glad I'm done. But I will b/c my parents want me to. I could go on and on but I just had to relieve some stress which I still feel really worried and stressed and frustrated. But what are you gonna do colleges really don't care about their students their only out to make a buck.

As much as I hate to say this to you, finance is part of the business world, and as a major of general business, it's something that will help you in the long run. It's cool dude, at least you're trying to make something of yourself. There are people out there who slack through highschool and then work the rest of their life at mcdonalds(not saying working at mcdonalds is bad) or something of the sort, some even live with their parents. Have you thought of taking up a hobby for relieving the stress from school? Maybe boxing or golf, or something that kicks your ass but you enjoy doing. Anyways, just tell yourself that you can do it and believe you can, and the shit will get done. It may be hard, but you'll have succeeded in the end.

school sucks balls, but you'll look back, and it's seriously the best time of your life...
life sucks when it's 9-5.

Want some good news? Uni ROCKS. Goto classes that you want, meet awesome people, root everything that walks upright and spend time between classes drinking. ;)

Well since I wrote this thread I've finally developed an understanding of what we we're doing in finance. Now my problem is business analysis, which im going to tutoring for tomorrow. Yes school is the best time of your life, but its really the time your not in "school" thats fun.

school just sucks period. Unless you are going to be a scientist or doctor or something like that, why bother going? It is more who you know and who you can BS.

:iagree: It has a lot to do with who you know. Pretty much nothing from college applies to the job I do right now. It's the piece of paper at the end that counts. Just hang in there dude; it can get really stressful, but I guarantee if you hang it there, get a degree, and just start networking with people (get to know as many people as possible), you're in man. When you start makin' some nice $$$$, you'll look back and realize it was all worth it, trust me.

Except for a few micky mouse classes I didn’t want to have, but had to, I really enjoyed school. Learned a lot of things even if I wasn’t going to use it for my eventual job. Good luck getting through the next couple years. I hope you find that it was all worth it.

smart ass!
nah thats cooll. . . guess college is the only way into doing something with urself, other than having to open your own buisness just yet.
HAH! yes! YOU school boy, enjoy ur time in school :D
meh i dunno, but i realyl dont see myself going to uni or college ever. i see people get into it and finish their degree, then cant get a job in the field, so they decide to do something else. all that time is wasted.
