I think i speak for everyone who got rubber in their faces as kazuya bai passed within 3 feet of us at the Signal Drift Event in Brampton when i say.

HOLY SHIT!!!

for anyone that missed it, Brian got most of it on video tape, and i got some on camera (not digital :( )

i'll see if i can grab a video conversion kit and possibly put it on my harddrive for online distribution :D

and yes, their drifts were 100% perfect. and so were the cars. :D

i was there too, and i'll have to agree with the "holy shit" statement. what a day! and that was just yesterday!

Ralph - why weren't you there today?

Kazuya Chunky Bai and Atsushi Kuroi were there in the Drifter X and XL twin 1580's from Signal Auto, as well as president of Signal, MAD_K Kosuke Kida. the 1580's passed within 3 of us, sideways, at about 80mph, with Bai's door open, and him resting his right foot on the top of the open door, meaning he was driving with his left foot. what a SHOW!!!
and Ralph is right. after the cars flew by you 3 feet in front of you, about a second later, you'd get SHOWERED with little chunks of rubber from the tires. it was in my teeth, my hair, my arm hair, all over my shirt, and covering my face, but i didn't care. i LOVED it!!

both were excellent, and me and Derek (Dorikin) got about 2-3 hours worth of footage, and i got at least 100 pics of the cars sitting and in action, as well as pics of me with Bai, Kuroi, and Kida. i got my Super Street with the Twins in it signed by all 3, and my magnetic Wakaba symbol signed by the 2 drivers. i also got a Signal "THE MAD ROCK THE HOUSE" t-shirt, and 2-3 Signal stickers for the M30. the best part though...I ACTUALLY GOT TO TOUCH THE DRIFT TWINS!! i'll take pics of my shwag as well and upload it all onto ImageStation and post the link once i get the pics onto my computer.

the amateur competition wasn't too bad either. everyone congradulate Garage Dori Friends member's Roby Caravaggio (Takeshi_Nakazato on this board) in his AE86 and Micheal Kent in his SR 240SX for their 8th and 4th place out of 17 placings, respectivley, in the competition. i, unfortunatley, was unable to enter because my M30 still does not have a transmission, the reason being: i'm out of money and can't get a job anywhere.

anyways, both days fucking rocked the house! me and Derek got pit passes today to help Roby and Mike set up their cars, so we got a great vantage point and got to talk with the drivers. we also met Moto-P of Club4AG fame.

so, if anyone gets the chance to see them, GO! you won't regret it, even if you have to drive a couple of hours. we met some guys from Michigan and Ottawa who came all the way.

BIG thanks go out to Signal Auto, MAD_K, Bai, Kuroi, Moto-P and Club4AG, Drift Association LLC, and all the sponsors for making this event possible and here's hoping they come back again next year with even more drivers.

well, 2 of my other friends that said they were gonna go today didnt call me in the morning to get me. and u mentioned something about rob picking me up, but seeing as i came home at 2 in the morning and no one was online, we couldnt make arrangements, so i knew that i was probably not gonna go at all today, especially cause i have no access to my bank account cause i have a shit bank that always seems to run out of bank cards, or gives out faulty bank cards for some reason.

anyways.. im sure ill get all the footage from u anyways :grinyes:
