I researched it a little bit, im guessing its gonna be around $3,500 for all the parts i need for the swap and manual conversion. Has anybody had this done? What am i looking at for labor?

i was planning to get this done, so i called a mechanic (whos also a friend) and i asked him how much would the h22 into my 95 accord be, he told me about 600-700. i dont know if this is a good deal b/c hes a friend, or just the standard deal.

Just do it yourself and save yourself $1000 or so....There are several great how-tos out there, and it'd be a good learning experience. And besides, then you know it's done right. (plug - my signature). Anyhow, I'm all for professional installation if you have no idea how to do it, but eh, if you're a little adventurous I encourage you to do it yourself! :)

I have little mechanical knowledge, i mean, i know what makes a car go, but i dunno if im up to doing a complete swap. Also, i dont have a cherry picker, also, i probly dont have half the tools i would need. Also, ive been asking some of my friends who know more than i do, and nobody is willing to help. I was just wondering how much installation would be. The only concern with the professional installation is the stick placement, i mean, i dont wanna be leaning forward to get to it, or have my hand between the seats.....

ive always done the swaps myself, but that's just me. You will save ALOT of money if you do it yourself, compared to shop. its a good learning expierence IMO.

If you do it yourself, you get the added bonus of being able to do stuff a shop wouldn't do for you, like cleaning out your filthy engine bay *REALLLY* good...just stuff like that, my vote, again goes for the h22 swap. If you think you'll need help, there are lots of people around that can help you, and resources all over the internet, and the one in my sig as well

H22 accord swap
I just got done swapping out my F22 vtec to an H22 DOHC Vtec in my 95 accord. With a new ACT clutch, AEM V2 cold air intake, Skunk2 stage 2 cam shafts, aem cam gears, titanium valve springs, retainers and valves, Mugen ECU, Apexi Vtec controller, magnacore wires, timing belt, water pump, tentioner, cap and rotor, stainless Greddy 4 to 1 header, test pipe and dual skunk2 megapower mufflers. :evillol: The total cost is around $6,000 with doing all the labor myself. I still have to have it dyno tuned and have my Apexi V-AFC controller set. My quarter mile time will be posted soon. Very pleased with the results!
