i was thinking about doing an ls/vtec build up in a n acura integra ls.....ls tranny and block with b16 head.......ported and polished.......pistons, cams, valves, springs, retainers, and later on a turbo.......what all would you guys suggest i do to the engine in order to run 11's-12's.......or should i get a civic and do a crvtec turbo.......any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.......also does anybody know any shops in or near N. Carolina or Virginia that do engine swaps and performance mods or who are familiar with frankenstein motors......oh yea how much boost on each motor??????

thanks a lot

well id start by using a GSR tranny instead of the LS since the gears are shorter, but you have a pretty good idea of what you wanna do. Fully build the motor, run high boost and you should be set. Depending on the boost you run, that setup can get you into the 12's.

Forget the vtec, and just re-enforce the LS bottom end, PnP the head, build the valve train, and boost the hell out of it. No need to add a tuning headache on top of a building headache.

If I had to do all over again, I would boost a b20 nonvtec. The power that is made from adding a vtec head can easily be made up with a turbo setup.
