high compression and nitrous goes together like bread and butter

Huh? I think you are mistaken.
Like forced induction applications(superchargers/turbochargers), an extremely high compression ratio is not a good idea. In fact most people that use turbos or SCs lower their compression ratios. The idea being that you can run a greater amount of boost. Nitrous will increase your cylinder pressures like turbos and SCs do.
First off, what type of car do you have (Year, Make, Model or engine type)? Are you planning on using this as a daily driver or a drag type car?

just as long as your timing is retarded to the right degree and your fuel enrichment is good, high compression is better due to better combustion in the chambers compared to lower compression motors...
let's put it this way...what will spool a turbine faster(same motors scenario)? the one with 9.0:1 staic compression ratio or the one with 10.5:1 c.r? You do the math...just as long as the fuel requirements are met(enough fuel ,higher octane), the higher compression motor will always come out on top....

I have a honda civic ex with b16b motor in it...my compression is at 10.8 right now but I am planning to make it a high compression na street/drag car.

how much of a squeez are you planning to use?? i would control how much juice you use rather than internal mods. :D

i dont know if i want n2o just yet...its great having an instant boost when i want it but i want something that will last for a duration. I want a super honda with an ace up my sleeve.

nitrous with either a NOS or jacobs nitrous controller is what you want then...

if you build a high comp monster, you cant run tons of laffy gas, but if you have a lower comp, you can...
basically, you are almost tripling the oxy content in the fuel mix, which means that the comp is really high...
you can run really high comp ratio with nitrous, but you cant really harness the power, and i dont see that combo lasting...
go with a small shot, which is good on anything, anything more than 75 hp requires lotsa internal work...

no doubt, if youre giong big you need forged pistons, and harder valves. otherwise youre gonna melt your pistons. if you dont mind buying a new motor, juice it to all hell untill it blows up your motor, or atleast melts all ya pistons, he he he:D gotta love the supercharger in a bottle!
