Thanks! Will get some preview of decals in next week or so. Rims can certainly be copied and i had though about altering the Aoshima rims for the Tamiya kit. This would make me feel a little less guilty about copying someone elses product, maybe it should be an option along with the decals???

Woah!

The challenge Stradale looks very spot-on!

Great job on it; but as mentioned, isn't there a little spoiler on the rear extra also?

as for the entire range of models, keep on expanding them, love your choice of subjects!

I didn't bother with the rear spoiler, too fiddly to make as seperate piece and cast and a complete modified engine cover was out of the question coz the hinges just wont last if made from resin. You will just have to put your scratchbuilding skills to the test.

I think its a must. I mean we need the rims as much as any other part to complete the 400R. If they aren't available anymore then how do we complete the kit? If you make them to fit tamiya models- even better IMO, I'd need more then one set then!

well i think this time you had surpassed yourself chris, that veilside stuff is amazingly detailed.

Wish i could have made it to the show and bought some there and then, spent my time in the emergency room with my little brother after a motorbike accident, he was racing at brands hatch in the 250cc aprillia racing, was in 1st place and some dumbass girl tried to out brake him on inferior brakes and rammed him into the tyre wall at 120mph!

Aoshima's LM-GT1 wheel should be available. Otherwise, it shouldn't be on their 2003 catalogue.
Problem is that it's not big enough for the 400R.
Doesn't Tamiya's R33 LM have one, or is it LM-GT2?

After picking up the 400R set from Chris on Saturday, I've started it already!

You are right Hiro, you can modifiy rims from the KURE R33 or Clarion R33 LM, The only differeence will be the single centre wheel nut.

I've already taken some progress pics, and will post them tommorrow.

BTW,

All the SAS stuff looks cool!, it was a great show and a pleasure to meet all the other AF members.

I love that Veilside Civic, I was thinking about doing it myself, but you've saved me the trouble. How much? When is it available??

That stuff is awesome, when are you going to make some stuff for my muscle cars? You could do well with an American car line. FOr instance a complete conversion for the Revell 71 Hemi CUda to a 70 340 Cuada with the sport hood would be awsome. I am sure you could get plenty of ideas from the guys here.

Dag, for that sort of thing you need to look up companies like Modelhaus or Replicas and Miniatures Co. of Maryland.

My big request from Chris is for some classic import stuff. Rally style airdams for 240Z's or maybe even (gasp!) Sebring fenders for Aoshima's MGB kit. God I want Sebring fenders. Please give me Sebring fenders. And maybe a BGT coversion body to go with it.

Chris, great job on the 360CS. The only thing (well actually two things) I would add is the rims, and small photoetched (or decal)360_Challenge_Stardale badge.
And I'm still waiting for your F50 GT transkit! Keep up great work!

This might sound really dunmb. But what's the difference between the new modena 360 transkit by chris compared to the original modena kit by tamiya? I know the wing mirrors are different but the front bumper and sideskirts are identical to the original?

Someone tell me

Thanks

chris you have saved me. i am going to replicate a buddies R33 and had just replaced the oem bumper with a 400r type bumper and low and behold you made the 400r kit. the only difference is his bumper has gill style openings on the side vice a complete opening but that can be easily modified. anyhow i will be purchsing the kit from you soon. :iceslolan

4-7 days to reach USA, payment via PayPal is preferred method. You will need to attach resin parts with superglue (CA).
