...you have 80 CD's and 1200 mp3s and not a single one of them are what you want to listen to right now? And you can't think of what you do want to listen to?

I get so antsy whenever I have listened to every freaking CD I own and nothing appeals to me :(

You sound like me. Everymorning I spend like 10minutes flipping through 5 of those cd wallets in my car looking for something I want to listen to, even tho its only a 15min drive to school.

And when I do think of a cd or songs that I do want to listen to, I can never find them then.

I ended up just closing my eyes and picking a CD. Prozzak's "Hot Show." I'm almost finished it now, I think next I'm going to pop in The Rentals (Weezer's former bassist's band) newest CD, since I haven't listened to it in ages.

Well I dont have 80 cd's and 1200 mp3's but I also don't have that problem.
I am a simple man and just let the radio decide :sun:

I usually only keep 2-3 in the car so i dont have to decide what to listen to.

Most times its nothing or the radio

I have like 500 cd's, try and choose in a selection that big on what to listen to. I just do the blind man's selection. Basically close my eyes and let the fingers do the walking. Whatever I land on, is what I am going to listen to.:D

Yeah!! I have about 150 CD's and over 3000 mp3's and I have this problems sometimes. :(

I haven't the foggiest idea how many cds I have anymore. Must be to damn many. But there is always a great tune to be found.

Well I had a look on the three hds on our server. Total mp3's now exceeds 8,500 + one my renters has at least 20 cd's full that are not on the server.

Far tooooo many to look through, though they are all tucked in nice neet title folders.

Well...:rolleyes: I would have to say that I don't have this problem. Indeed, I only own about 8 CDs total. I've only bought 1 of them, and as far as MP3s go, well, a whopping total of 12. For my music, I prefer the radio. Now this could be because I left my stereo back home (mom needs something to listen to music on) and my computer has speakers that fall short of a lot. So, the radio is good...:)

I reckon the Radio is much better than CD's, although I keep the 10 CD's I know I will never get bored of in the stacker just in case the radio plays crap........

Well, that's a case of knowing you have tons you want to listen to, and have to make a decision. My problem is when I scan my entire collection several times and none appeal to me (and I don't have any money for more).

Just stick them all in a bag, reach in, and pull one out. :)

I see someone is really enjoying that noise huh hehehe. Good on ya FTO. Too bad it is harder to hear the MIVEC come on though.

FYI FTO's FTO goes really well and sounds the part. The first time I was in it and moondog gave it a bit, I had a big grin on my face. Love the sound of that MIVEC !

Back on topic now. I have started to record off the radio and once I get some full tapes going to play them. Easy to erase and put new stuff on there hehehehe

Yeah i worked at a Music Store all four years of high school (working retail would be great if it werent for the damn customers :) ) neway i have way to many cd's and yeah it does suck when it takes ten minutes to select the right soundtrack for the day every morning...but the whole radio thing is just a cop out and they play way too much crap especially here in the NYC

Lately I've almost completely gotten out of mainstream music, all this new crap just bugs me. CD's and mp3's are almost all I listen to now

It's even worse when you have 800 and 67 cd's worth of MP3's and cant find anything to listen to :p

Wow Kat, I might get you to send me your list of mp3's (open your whole collection up in Winamp, save the list, and just send the list file, not all the songs :)) so I can get some ideas for new music....I can never think of stuff to download

THat may take awhile....most of those MP3s are Alex's music collection converted to DVD. About 20 of the CDs of MP3's are a buddy's that he's left here for about a year LOL. I am waiting to get an 80GB or higher hard drive so we can put all our music on. We reformatted the PC a little over a month ago and still haven't gotten around to getting music onit...pretty sad huh?
