I have an '85 F-350 460ci w/dual tanks that stalled while headed down the highway. Fuel seems to be getting to the carb but, when the motor starts it runs for about 15-20 seconds and then stalls like it's starved for fuel. Checked a few emissions related parts and replaced the fuel check valve/regulator(?) and filter. Either tank = same thing.
:banghead: Any ideas would be great.

Check out your coil. I had a very similar situation and it turned out that when the coil heated up it would quit working.
Good luck
Jim

I'LL BET YOU DOLLARS TO DOUGHNUTS THAT IT'S THE IGNITION MODULE LOCATED ON THE DRIVERS SIDE FENDER WELL. BUT IT COULD ALSO BE A BROKEN WIRE THATS LEADS TO IT. OUSIDE LOOKS GOOD BUT WIRE INSIDE SEPERATES ONCE THE ENGINE WARMS UP. :screwy: TRY SWAPPING IT, IT'S CHEAP (ONLY ABOUT $20.00). LET ME KNOW IF THIS HELPS.
