You should do the research yourself.

Go to www.acura.com for the RSX stats
if you are interested in currently produced civics go to the honda website www.hondacars.com

If your curious about which has better build quality check out www.caranddriver.com and www.roadandtrack.com and see there reviews.

Also, do not make your car choice blindly on horse power. Test drive either car and decided from there.

ya, the RSX has more horsepower thatn a regular civic, but i think the Newer Civic SI hatchbacks have more HP then the RSX does.

No offence guys but you shouldn't have answered this question. Your just going to encourage more lazy asses to ask completely obvious stuff here instead of doing the research themselves.

actually I thought that the ep3 Si has the same HP as the base model 5sp RSX but the Rsx type-s has more horsepower.

Tis correct, I don't even need to look at anything to remember this.

EP3 ('02-'03 Civic Si hatchback) and base model RSX both have the SAME K20 160hp motor.

The RSX Type-S has a 200hp K20 motor which is actually the same motor the EP Civic Type-R hatchback in Europe.

so a US model of the new SI is capable of a motor swap using the k20 type s motor? hmm...interesting.

or better yet you can do what hasport (i think that's the name, the company who makes motor mounts and starts with an H) has already done and put a K20 type s head on a K24 (TSX/EURO R?) block in a new si hatch, Bob from honda tuning magazine told me he drove the car and he could barely handle the excessive torque it had.

The new Honda lingo has now fallen upon us, no more B-this and B-that :(

To the creator of this thread, personally I would rather have an RSX-S than any Civic. Not because of mere power numbers, but they look and feel so much sleeker, at a higher price of course. The interior on them is top-notch for a Honda too. I drove my friend's type S so I'm not just talking out my ass here, I really wish I would have bought one (also wish I made as much money back then that I do now, so I could have done so). Try the RSX forum for more help.

Oh yes! I have the whole SCC magazine of the article where they did just that! :) I think it was SCC mag, if not it was SS because I can't remember which one, LOL! Either one, one of them did a full article on how to do an RSX-S engine swap into an EP 7th gen Si hatchback.
