87 supra reliability issues?

are there any? what are common known problems for this car? how reliable is it?

I saw one and dont know if i should get it, and my parents said the car is old, its probably very problematic.

86-92 turbo or NA- Head gasket failure, engine mounts.

head gasket i know what that is, but what is a engine mounts? the peices that support the engine?

No more reliable than a rwd of the same year, sure they have the bhg issue but that can be taken care of, motor mounts are nothing just look carefully when buying one and if all else fails just go 1jz(try and find a 89+ if you want to go 1jz) and if you want more info try www.supraforums.com (http://www.supraforums.com) and/or www.supramania.com (http://www.supramania.com) .
