Why would you want a TV in your car? Is driving really that boring?

I got a 7" flip out monitor that i got off of ebay as well as a set of two 6" monitors for the headrest that i'll get put in whenever i get my seats upholstered. But by the way you are asking this, i'm not sure you know what you're getting into. A "TV" is not what you're buying probably, you're just getting the monitor. If you plan on watching the news or something in your car, you're going to have to get an antenna, a tv tuner, and a couple other cords. Then in my case i had to relocate the headunit to just above the cupholders. But if you're just buying the monitor and plan to plug it into something like a dvd player or a playstation, it's still not as easy. But most of the ones on ebay are reputable but may not be what you're looking for.

these are some companies that i have found make nice screens alpine rosen/necvox concepts are decent accele are very nice and make an awesome 5.6"
not to say that these are the only brands you buy but remember that you get what you pay for...
headrest scrns are pretty difficult especially if you have a honda alot of the headrests are small and tight or have holes in em inwhich case the seats need wrapped in leather and the headrest padded.
if you get a stand alone monitor and a bracket such as a hands free kit adaptor for your car some companies that make them are panavise hhmm that's all i can seem to name.you can mount the screen on the dash but hide the base of the mount under a trim peice.
indash motorized scrns all major companies make these some have dvd/cd players in em some don't and are usually cheaper all you really have to do is add a dvd or playstation i know the alpine line can play cd's from the cd changer and watch movies at the sametime good for porn viewing or your passenger playing playstation while you drive.
fllipdowns are cool the biggest i've seen put into a car was a 15" in a chrysler lhs. To say the least that is overkill. but a 7-10.4 inch screen is pretty cool.
blah that's alot to type...

Can you explain to me why you would want a plasy station 2 or TV in your car? Unless you got a mini van with a bunch of screaming kids in the back, I can't see why.

hey, if you buy that moniter in the link u posted, whereever u mount to it or whatever, just get a dvd player or a PS and u gotta just run all the wires. you are also going to need to get an FM modulator if u plan on wanting to here your movie or game. one of those can also be found on e-bay. i wouldn't suggest those wireless ones, get one that u have to wire up and connect to the cars antenna. i've had both and fine that the wireless one gives a lot of feedback when playing at high volumes. so yea, that tv, plus an fm modulator, sum wire, and sum skills to install everything unless ur bringin it sumwhere. so good luck, if u got n e questions u can ask me, i installed 2 tvs in my car with a dvd player and playstation and an fm modulator. so yea, if u need n e help, u can give me an e-mail if u don't wanna post more threads.

Why do you guys want to turn your vehicles into entertainment centers? Your focus should be on the road.
And if your car is for show, I'd think you'd make the CAR impressive. Not unrelated things.

my :2cents: , let them do what the fuck they want. why are you guys replying to a post you feel so strongly against? I think that the car itself should come first too, but i'm not going to put somebody down for wanting a TV in their car. to each their own.

tv's in your vehicle are pimp don't hate.. well actually I pretty much use my screen in traffic or to let my passengers play x-box when we ride. when i "watch" dvd's in traffic it's usually tekademics or a video of this nature with the cd changer or xm playin.

I wish I had a grand to drop on a tv for my car. 99% of show cars have them so I guess it's a neccessity anymore... Personally I think it would be pretty cool, but I could see myself ramming into a tree or something when a good part on a movie comes up.
