3rd Gen Fbody Problems; What problems should I expect on my 88GTA

Well?

What are some common problems and are they easy to fix?

I don't want a car to work on and rebuild, just drive and drive the hell out of it. I don't want to have to take it into the shop, etc.

Will I have many problems on a 88GTA? I'm going to get it in good exterior and interior condition and no more than 65k original miles on the engine. 305 V8 manual transmission.

What problems can i expect and can i fix them myself, etc.?

What MPG will i get? highway and city

Thats some pretty hard requirements to come by there bud, manuel v8 and under 65K is asking alot. Better be prepare to spend about 7000.00 for a good one! :grinyes:
Main problems: shocks, brakes, hatch motor is about all.

Over heating and lots of wires in the engine compartment are the main problems. The suspension is out of date to.
