Please help fellows. Planing on buying a 92 hatch with these mods
Engine:
B18B1
Drag III turbo kit (turbonetics t3/t4, spearco FMI, HKS SSQ BOV, External wastegate, manifold)
SRP pistons
Skunk2 intake manifold
NGK wires
Denso plugs
Skunk2 cam gears *not installed yet*
AEM fuel pressure reg *not installed yet*
Spoon thermostat *not installed yet*
Clutch masters stage III clutch
Apex'i Dunk exaust
Airmass high flow cat

It has run 14
Now wondering what else can I do make this car faster.
Thinking about puting a Vtec head on.
Any ideas what I would need to do that.
Thanks fellow and sorry if I stated something that doesn't make sense

faster??? that hatch shouldve been a little more quicker than a 14. Dont get a VTEC head, then you will just be destroying the motor quicker. LS's have one of the lower CR's, which is perfect for boost. If you want to make it faster, up the boost. From reading it, it seems like the motor is built to handle the boost. You should be able to hit 13's easy in that hatch.

glad I'm not the only one who thought that sounded a little slow...

14's, sounds like someone cant drive. dont bother building ls/vtec. got boost, keep it and turn it up more to get more power.

First of all thanks guys, I am not sure how good is the driver. And you're right, me friend has a 93 coupe with same setup and he is in 13's. But i'll still take suggestions, what should be my next step to make car more reliable (daily driver).

it already sounds like a good street driven setup.

How much boost was the previous driver running on that setup?

I am 99% sure It was set at 10psi

At 10 psi, you should be getting around 230 whp, and should easily be able run better than a 14 in a car that only weighs 2100 pounds.

230whp??? little much dont you think, maybe 230hp at the flywheel, but still either wya you should rip past 14's

Sorry, I meant bhp, not whp. With all the other mods he's got on there, plus 10-12 psi, 230 bhp should not be a problem.

sorry about the double post but I think a hatch could hit 12s with the setup described at overboost
