ok for everyone that read this DONT EVER BUY A S-10 WITH A 2.8!!! :cya: they are the worst shit engines ever :angryfire :angryfire , i mean it does good on power but damn!!! i havent had so many things go wrong with a car, EVER! i hope when i get home today its ina million fucking pieces, then my life would be so much better. i really dont think the problem can be found, and i just bought a 5.0 for it and i cant wait to get it in, DAMNIT!!!! :swear: :swear:

Did you mean to say it does good on power? I am guessing you meant fuel economy, I had an 2.8 s10 and it was the most gutless piece of shit in the world. :lol:

Good luck dropping the 305 in it, that should give it plenty of get up and go.

:lol2: I know how you feel man. I had the stalling 2.8L blues in my '85 S-10. I called my parents several times bitching about it. But I still liked the truck though.

ya i did, i have heard ppl make fun of it, but min eis FAR from gutless, i have whooped LOTS of cars with it, i have never ran the quarter mile wiht it but it does 0-60 in about 9.7 sec, which isnt bad for a small 6 cyl truck, it jus has SO many fuckin problems and it pisses me off. :banghead:

im with yogs, i think a 6 cyl truck should do 0-60 in at least 8's. my friends chevy 4 cyl does it in like 9.2.
