Smoked for 11 years, gave it up almost 2 years ago though.
I do on rare occasions enjoy a good cigar every now and then, but
those don't count :bloated:

Never been a smoker.
My dads a two pack a day guy and my moms in the half pack a day range. Both have been doing that for over fourty years. None of my sisters or I picked up the habbit from them. Considering we are all 26+ now, its unlikely we'll start. My dad keeps getting a clean bill of health so he keeps on acting the part of smoke stack. My mom has a clean bill of health, but she quits from time to time (but always goes back).
Nasty smelling habbit.

negative captain. Smells gross. On the rare occasions that I have a cigarette, it is ALWAYS a clove cig... much better than plain tobacco. I also take a puff or two off my dad's monthly cigar, but that's it.

I smoked for like.... 3 or 4 months and quit without much trouble. I only picked it up b/c all of my friends at home smoked, and I liked the "comfort" the smoke had when I thought about all of my friends hanging out.... Now the smell makes me sick, and I only smoke when I am so stressed I think I'm going to die... even then it grosses me out. :headshake

Anyone else roll their own cigs? I roll american spirit tobacco. 100% additive free. So much better than the proccessed stems and beetle legs found in the prerolled big brand name smokes. :shakehead

Nope
never will either everyone in my house smokes except for me, and a plus to it I get $1000 for not smoking on my 19th b-day which is coming shortly so I'll have some funny money to throw around while my brothers got jack-shit because they smoked and still do.

i've never taken it up as a habit.
i'm what you call a "social smoker" i guess. when i'm drinking, or at a party with friends, i'll have a few cigarettes. it just seems "right". but once the party is over, the smoking is over, and that's that.
the longest "chain" i've ever gone for was 5 days, last march breakon my trip to Quebec City. in Quebec, unlike Ontario, there are NO anti-smoke laws. hell, even the McDonalds and Tim Hortons have glass sectioned-off areas specifically for smoker's. so basically, when you're in Quebec City, you smoke! that's the only time i've ever bought my own pack. but once i left the city, i quit again.
luckily, NO-ONE in my family (besides 2 of my cousins and my cigarillo-smoking uncle) smokes. so i don't really have anyone to take the habit from.
i'm also a cigar lover. cigars, and cigarillos (Captain Blacks and Colts). Monte Cristo's are my obvious favourite. just ask Heep. he came over to my house a couple months ago and we smoked a $25 6" long Monte Cristo together in my driveway. :grinyes:
