s15 silvia article ---> http://cars.ign.com/articles/438/438272p1.html

Does anyone know how much these go for for a new one?? Also does anyone think they'll ever be imported to the US?? Man I'd get one of these if I could.

The new price, was $45,000 NZD, which dropped to $40,000 just as the last of them were for sale (that's roughly $25,000 USD).

And I'm 99.9% sure you'll never get one new in the US, seeing as the S15 is now out of production, and it was the last Silvia. Although who knows, maybe Nissan will realise what a good thing they had with it, and reintroduce an S16 in a few years. One can only hope.

like what christophur said...in US we have no hope for a new S15. But u can get a a '98 240SX and turn them into a S15 by converting headlights/taillights ect. Also u can add into the S15 engine rated at 250HP.

Man I want one, but if you look at pricing for a Skyline in Jpan and then at Motorex..well you see the point. The S15 will be so overpriced it wont be worth it. It doesnt hold the same oomph (for lack of a better word) that a GTR does. But I am sure the price will be jacked up a couple 10,000 bucks...LOL

Actually, Motorex charges only about 15k for legalizing Skylines, so its cheaper if you buy your own and have them legalize it, problem is i dont believe they can legalize Silvias.

Oh from what I read they in the process of trying to legalize them......I read that somewhere else too.

If I'm ever rich...I'll do what Motorex did with the Skyline to the FTO, Silvia (s15 mainly), and any other car I think is good enough to have a good amount of demand for it in a country where it was never offered.

my :2cents:

If you have the cash though you could have an S15 in the states if you really wanted...just not road legal. If you go to the track much or live near logging roads which aren't controlled by the state, but are still public roads you might have a use for a none road legal Silvia. And if you import it that way you just have to pay a tax and import fee which would be [relatively] cheap.

Kouki's are rare! if you MUST do this (which i strongly argue against), then at least use a Zenki S14.

but then...DON'T!

if you're willing to spend the money to convert an S14, it'll end up being not too much cheaper (or maybe not cheaper at all) then importing a real-deal S15. if you buy an S14, buy it because it's an S14 and be proud, not to try and make it look like something it isn't.

I really don't want any Silvias to touch the U.S.They get Skylines, let Canada enjoy the Silvias.Though were sort of a long shot from getting the S14 and S15,we still get to enjoy the S13.

The FTO?! I heard that thing was underpowered and overweight. I always thought it looked like hell too

I like the FTO despite those facts...and more against it lol

Must be a North American thing. I'm sure there's more Kouki's then Zenki's here.

I see about the same amount of koukis and zenkis...

A lot around me are red, which I don't like. There are however a few blue/green and black ones, barely any white...I think I've seen only one white 95-98 240 in person. Oh I think I've never seen a green, but the koukis were the only ones that came in green. I think I've seen a kouki in blue also...which the zenkis never got as an option either. Grey/purple is a fairly rare color too...which is good since I dislike it a lot.

I see quite a few of both...not a huge amount, but barely any for sale around here :frown:

If someone finds a kouki or zenki online or at a dealership then please pm me or contact me on aim.
