My friend with the 91 crx si blew a ring in his motor and he has been trying to figure out what motor he wants to replace it with and he is thinking about the zc motor. I am pretty sure that all the parts(I/H/E) will bolt right onto it?? and he is just going to use his tranny, but what parts can he use to rebuild it? I tried to do a search, but it wont let me search for zc...it says it isn't enough letters. Thanx for your help.

zc is a good choice especially for the price...you can get a complete swap for around 650. includes engine tranny harness and ecu(harness if ur lucky) as far as sohc header fitting if im not mistake it needs to be modified to fit the zc pattern. http://www.geocities.com/chipman_13/zc.html (http://) check that site out....has a complete parts list.

i used to have that swap in my CRX 2 years ago. Its a direct bolt in swap and alot of the parts from the Si are interchangable. I got the longblock from www.hmotorsonline.com . I used the Si tranny and just got a 88-89 Integra ECU. It was a great swap for the money.

I have a completely rebuilt ZC...There are lots of places to find parts info...but basically the head uses 89 Integra parts, and the block uses 91 Civic Si parts.
The intake, exhaust & head gaskets are 89 Integra also...this is why the Si header needs to be ported since the ZC exhaust matches the Integra...check out the Hybrid Garage http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/tech/zcinfo.html for more data...some sites say you use a Prelude head gasket...this is wrong!! However, there is ONE Prelude part...the 88 Prelude Si timing belt fits a ZC
