Are any V8 super car teams planning on using them or are they heavier than the Sedan?

I think it would be good to see an HRT monaro winning bathurst just for the name :frog:

It's currently against the rules to run a 2 door. As F@rd doesn't have an equivilent (for now) it is unfair. There are some advantages, such as a more rigid chassis and flatter rear boot which would help down force and also the roof line which is more inclined and would be more 'slippery'.

I think the styling sucks compared to the concept car

Looks good. Does the GTO have 400bhp/300kw?

The GTS has the 300kW engine and the GTO has the 255kw version.

Can't wait for Corsa's version:D

Yes the GTO looks alright. The normal Monaros at the auto show looked too plain though. Pity about the price huh?

Does anyone know of a company that imports HSV Holdens to the UK?
Would love to hear from anyone who knows on arts@tntmag.co.uk

Cheers

I wouldn't mind one. But as life has it, i'll try and rebuild the Torana XU-1 GTR, nah just stick with the S12.

FORD's SUCK, you know that because you brought an 79' escort, not only that you come from New Zealand, bah

Anyway, since you drive a car in NZ, what's in you Escort, something more than in-line 4, I would hope, SR20DET or 12a or 13b or a W302-V8.... come on tell us

1st post, and already flaming

There are some nice fords and nice holdens....although I'd prefer the holdens if the choice was out of those 2. I've seen quite a few monaros on the street now...look good. :)

Ford hasn't made a decent quality car since '69. Today they don't even know what the words "Sports Car" mean, or for that mater the meaning of "performance" :flipa:

Hell, I'd love to have one of those over here stateside, under the Holden marquee. It would be one of a kind, and still put most cars to shame. I like the lines on it immensely, but don't know that it should get the nameplate of GTO once it gets to the states (think about it, alot of old musclecar heritage there). Depends on what all it gets once it gets here.

Mike351, I think it's internationally recognized that Ford builds pieces of crap fit for mass production, not with any streetable value. It doesn't matter where they're produced or under what pseudonym, it's still found on the road dead 99 times out of 100. Face it, you've got GM envy...
