for all those of you that like grip racing or drifting, there is a bad ass road in nc/tn. its rt 129 called tail of the dragon, 318 turns in just over 11 mi. that equates to i turn every 183ft. the turns average a 29degree apex. i do not recommend this road for novices. but go to google and type tail of the dragon and you'll get the sights. probably the meanest road i have ever seen. i'll be riding hopefully next month on my bike with my buddy

ya its a bad ass road. trucks take that road and the turns are so tight they get stuck. some of the 'valleys' are so deep and steep that they lift they're back axles up in the air and can't move, others take up the entire road and run bikers and cars off

I don't think you would try and rfit that, their seems like their is way too much traffic traveling the roads. The only time you would be able to drift is late at night,in order to drift fairly safe on a mountain, you usually need to know it pretty well, let alone at night. It would be fun though.

drifting is the best time to drift, very little traffic. only use like a 1/4 or 1/2 mi section of road. of course you go drive it first. just like when you get to your drift sight you dont' go balls out first. you work you're way up feeling out how the road is gripping. thats the perfect road to drift. i haven't found a road that can match those twisties.

Not on THAT road, the turns are sharp and small and you would be in a continous drift all the way down the road, most of the turns are too small to even try to drift, its more of a grip road, especially now that all the deaths have stirred up major police action.

The police wouldn't be able to keep up with a very skilled driver who has a heavily modified suspension.Cop cars are very slow, and their suspension are ass.Since their is so many turns, the police wouldn't be at an advantage. In a highway they can afford to stay behind,in a mountain they would have to push hard to keep them in sight, plus they don't have the driving skill/experince.

Yes, you maybe skilled but do you know the roads? Cop cars are NOT slow, infact are you implying a 6 liter V8 is slow? I certainly dont like muscle cars, but i have a certain respect for them. If you suspensions are ass, then i dont think they would be doing any high pursuit now would they? Ford Interceptor is in no way the same as a Crown Vic. They have cops up all along the road so all they have to do is call up backup :licka: dont try anything stupid now...
Edit: Ever watch the Blues Brothers? :naughty: "She's got a cop motor, a four hundred and forty cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks..."

No driver or car or any vehicle for that matter is faster than the speed of light, or in this case electromagnetic waves...but it's the same thing.

Even more so, that road has only two exits, if the cops wanted to nail you they could very easily. I think a skilled driver with a good car could easily get away from the cops, but your blocked in on both sides.

Buy this months issue of Sport Compact Car.THey reviewed every cop car,and every cop car candidate.Cop cars are slow, but on a busy road that is straight, you don't use a cars potential. And almost 99% of cop cars are stock.Like I said,Sport Compact Car got to go to the place where they test all cop cars every year, they got the specs, drove the shit out of them, and got the word from the man.

And I know they would be blocked in,only two ways into a pass, but a cop car wouldn't be able to keep up.Their all heavy, and the brakes would get heatsoaked very fast.
