I have a 1994 extended cab and I want to put a 10 inch subwoofer somewhere under the seat front or back, preferably a stealth mount so it dosen't take away from the interior. The truck has a 60/40 bench in the front. Anyone have any help? Preferably if you have some pictures and/or dimensions. you can email me at freakensteiner@hotmail.com if need be.

You can easily fit 10's under your rear seat. I have two 12's under my rear seat in my '99. Now theres numerous things you can do with your subs or sub. You can have a stealth box firing down or firing the speakers up. Or you can get a box that has the speakers facing out(to where they are seen). My friend had that setup in his '94 but with 12's. The possibilities are endless. Go talk to a reputable stereo place. I would recommend not going to Mobile One though, b/c ever since they were taken over by new management a few years ago they went down hill. I know a guy who was store or district manager(i cant remember) but he left after the change b/c they were hiring under qualified kids that didnt know left from right.

I have an '02 Crew Cab and Car Toys in Washington (www.cartoys.com) told me they could fit two tens and an amp behind the rear seat. There's only about four or five inches behind the rear seat, but they seemed confident they could build a box and use low profile subs to make it fit.

Have you heard the low pro subs? How do they sound compared to a normal sub? I've never heard one before.

I heard some JL Audio low profile subs in the sound demo room in the Cartoys showroom but I've not heard them inside a vehicle. They sounded pretty good in the showroom.... of course, everything sounds good in the showroom... ;-)

MTX makes sub boxes with or without pre installed speakers and with or without preinstalled amps for extracab Silverados. They come color coded to match the interior color and fire downward to offer an OEM or "stealth" mode. I used their idea to build my own.

Is the 94 basically the same as a 2000 with the folding rear seat and about 8 inches of height under the seat?
Also JL Audio makes custom enclosures that fit perfectly under the rear seat and can be color matched to your interior.

The best thing to do is search for a sub that can handle being in real tight/small enclosures. I was able to stuff 2 HUGE DEI 12" subs into my ext. SIlverado. I reverse mounted them so the magnet faced out. They were stuffed into a .3 cu/ft box. I have their twins on sale on Ebay. Make sure to click "see seller's other auctions" too. :iceslolan
