Why do people hate grammar?

I was browsing AF tonight and came across several posts that were headaches to read. submitted, for your entertainment, one post below. Read through it and count the number of periods, commas, or other common punctuation.
your right my d15 goes 7k before oil chages allways over 40mpg is not a race motor its for ecomany bust it again calling it gay while your chaging your oil twice i'm still cruising and yes someone has gotten one into the 10s damned fast for a lil motor thats while its the not the best motor its sure as hell takes 100s of thousands of miles gets you great gas works without any problems cheap as hell to maintain its a great for what it is just cause its not the fastest you shouldn't make comments to something you don't know about.
I'm not going to say who posted that, I don't want to single anyone out. It's not my intention to offend, but to inform and make the following plea-
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE use your periods and commas people. I'd like my hair to grow back, I'm tired of ripping it out translating some of the posts that are out there.

Yeah, I know what you mean Yogs...but I'm quite lazy, and I still manage to get over there to the . when need be...
Example, a few summers ago, our TV remote broke...so I taped to yardsticks together and prodded the TV channel up/down button from afar...unweildy and inefficient as hell, but damnit! I wasn't going to move!

I'm surprised nobody has brought up the people that can seem to spell the words 'one' 'two' 'you' 'any' etc. Those people drive me nuts.
"U should go 2 the store"
"Can n e 1 hear me?"
You know that crap. Come on people, your not saving that much time by avoiding two keystrokes.

The ones that get me are those that bitch about one person's abbreviation of a word when they themselves can't spell very well anyway.

Not really, I have seen a lot of people with the same gripe.
I even deal with it at work where people misuse and mis-pronounce words (pronouncing height, "heith") and then they mock me because I pronounce a word differently.
It's like somebody bitching about spelling yet they themselves can't spell very well.
BTW, it's "come on" or "c'mon". "common" has a completely separate meaning

Oh my word, that is hilarious. I laughed...a lot. I don't know why exactly, but probably because it sounds like something that I would do. Like when my roommate and I set up our dorm room so we wouldn't have to leave our chairs to get/use anything of importance in the room...the fridge, microwave, remote, computer, etc.

I find it rather entertaining when people insult my intelligence with grammar that would get you thrown off the short bus.
It's "you're," not "your," goddamnit. I ain't exactly qualified to be the grammar cop around here, though. Although it's no excuse, I'm one of the few to graduate from one of the lowest-achieving high schools in the state of Ohio, so the fact that I make this small of a number of errors blows even my mind.

Small things don't really matter too much, but when a paragraph of run-ons and mispellings make a post impossible to understand one's intentions, then yeah I sometimes wonder what type of person he/she is. It's very frustrating, but most of the time when you look to the left they usually only have 1-5 posts for some reason. I like the idea of only being able to hang out in some sort of "caged-off" noob forum before entering the rest of the AF world.

10K RPM? I bet money that even if this is true, it's either nowhere near streetable or has blown to shit as a result of careless tuning. Standing close to your typically volatile high-output, all-motor Honda on a dyno is an easy path to a Darwin award. Somewhere on Kazaa there's amatuer video of some village idiot's ITR putting a rod through not only, the head, but the steel hood!

I could see if you brought up an old post for referance that it wouldn't be so bad. But when people use it like it's their own idea, they get slammed. Some old posts aren't worth bringing up either.

One reason for the lack of grammar in today's society is that schools stop teaching grammar at a young age. It's only in college when we write papers that we run into it again, which we all hate. After that we forget about it and get lazy. And some believe that you lose your self expression with proper grammar.

Yea, I agree. I talk to a couple of my old teachers, and they are replacing it with advanced math training that kids can't even comprehend. No wonder why more kids are failing out of school.

umm...
Keep in mind that some folks just can't spell, or are horrible at grammar and do not post in that manner just for the fun of it or to piss someone off. Some folks are bad at grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules - while others are horrible at math, science, or whatever else is out there. It just happens that you only see the grammar/'English' (as it's called in my hick-town) because it's a FORUM. An example: My husband is a financial genius (in my opinion) and damn smart w/technical stuff. But I have to spell check his reports for your/you're, our/are and the like. Yes, it’s one thing to get pissy at a post that's a 10 line paragraph with no capitalization or punctuation use...it's another to get pissy at someone because of slight issues...Feel free to get pissy, it's your right to get pissy...get pissy...perhaps find a little sensitivity...
...
